Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter for WCBD-TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's work in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to joining Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also hosts The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
